1. Applications may be obtained from this website or by contacting the Council’s office.
2. The applicant must have completed 75 hours of qualifying education before submitting their application for Council approval. Photocopies of certificates of completion for qualifying education courses must be submitted with the application form.
3. A sponsor (supervisor of trainee) must complete a Verification of Appraiser Trainee form stating that he/she will be supervising the trainee. This form is part of the application.
4. There is no experience or examination requirement.

Answer:
1. Applications for a licensed real property appraiser, certified residential or certified general status may be obtained from this website or by contacting the Council’s Office. Education and experience requirements are distributed by the Council as part of the application packet and may also be obtained via this web site Informational Supplement to Regulations.
2. The completed application must be submitted to the Council’s office along with photocopies of certificates of completion verifying that the qualifying education requirements have been met.
3. The applicant must submit the required pro-rated fee. See Fee Schedule.
4. The applicant must also submit a photocopy of his or her Experience Log
for Council review and approval.
5. The Council will review the application and supporting documentation at its meeting and determine whether the applicant qualifies to sit for the examination. If approval is granted, the applicant will be advised and provided with the necessary forms to contact the examination service.
6. When official verification of successful completion of the exam is received from the exam service, the Council will review the application and the report of grade for approval of the new license.
7. Following approval of the license, the license will be issued.
